Worksighted Fights Childhood Hunger

Jul 21 2015

Untitled design (2)At Worksighted, we have always felt that community success is directly related to business success, so we do everything we can to help our community and support the organizations that keep it thriving. This includes actively engaging our own employees in community projects or supporting their own initiatives.

That’s why this week, we’re happy to put our hairnets on and spend some time packing sack suppers for kids in the greater Holland community.

Kids Food Basket is attacking childhood hunger to help young people learn and live well. In just 1 year, Kids Food Basket has served over 900,000 children with Sack Suppers and opened satellite locations in both Holland and Muskegon.

Nearly 50,000 kids in West Michigan live every day unsure of whether they get to eat dinner that night, or not. We are proud to do our part in fighting childhood hunger.

If you want to make a difference by giving kids nutritious meals that are critical is the development of a child’s brain and body, visit the Kids’ Food Basket Volunteer Page here.
