Mat Nguyen has been named to the Business Journal’s Top 40 Business Leaders Under 40 for the second time!

At the age of 21, Mat Nguyen met Mike Harris, and together they formed one of the region’s fastest-growing information technology firms. Seven years ago, they opened Worksighted Inc. in downtown Holland with the goal of assisting small and medium-sized companies with their IT needs.
Today, the firm builds, maintains and supports networks for companies with 10 to 200 employees, has partnership with Microsoft, Dell, Symantec, Cisco Systems and others, and has satellite offices in Grand Rapids and the metro Detroit area.
Nguyen, who was born in Paris and resides in Holland, oversees the daily operations of Worksighted, which has a dozen employees. Those responsibilities range from client relations and community outreach to human resources and financial management.
Co-worker Barry Rice said, “Mat ensures that the company is financially sound and has the necessary resources to grow with its customers.”
But Nguyen isn’t all business all the time. He serves on the board of directors for the Holland Area Chamber of Commerce, Holland Area Arts Council and Holland Young Professionals. The chamber recently selected him to join its Leadership Holland program.
Nguyen earned his undergraduate degree from Hope College and an MBA from Grand Valley State University.
He married Katharine Rent, general manager of the Park Theater in Holland, in October.
